Father's Day..

I always post something about Peter this time of year. This year I am going to post about my Dad. John Carol Hughes. My Daddy. I can remember special and funny things about my dad as a little girl like holding his finger when we walked and my hand being so small in his. And taking of his shoes for him and he would always make it hard and I would pull with all my might. I remember sitting in his lap. And I remember him saying "rub my hear" lol..
When I was pregnant with Sarah I remember him telling me the story of how the doctor told him to tell my mom that I would not make it. I can't imagine as a father and a husband how horrible that must have been. Well God had other plans! I am here and my Daddy and I get to share our love for the Lord together. He also gets to be a part of my kids life. As much as he would love to be with the other kids and grand kids we are thankful for having him in our life! We are thankful that our heavenly Father is our eternal Father. Happy Father's Day Daddy!!
I love you!

More about Easter

As a follower of the King of Kings and Lord of Lord's Jesus Christ, the cross and resurrection are on my heart always. Christ saved those who make him Lord of their life by taking the deserved wrath of God, for our sins against Him. On Easter we reflect on this time even more. At our church I was blessed to be a part of an art exhibit proclaiming the truths about the days leading up to and including the resurrection. What a blessing it is to use the ability that the Lord has given you to try and bring glory to Him. The girls and grandma and I also make resurrection cookies to remind everyone at a family gathering to celebrate "Easter" what it is exactly we are celebrating.
So what is the Pancho Blessings in this? We are blessed by hearts that desire to serve the Lord and bring glory to Him and how He has provided opportunity for that effort. Our prayer is that others will see the Lord and He will be glorified.

So much more .....

We knew the business Reid Excavating. www.reidexcavating.com was out there and always heard great things about them...
But I'm telling you they are SO MUCH MORE then excavating!!!!! Let me tell you a few things that make them wonderful to us:
We saw our first sunset since we have been living here on our wonderful land.

They cut and removed 37 trees. BIG tress RIGHT UP CLOSE TO THE HOUSE! They made them all fall just where they wanted them to. Between two houses, a pump house, fruit trees, the kid's climbing tree and so on... They are amazing!!! 15 or more of the trees in the frount of the house were huge!! The two old stumps they removed were even bigger... Well let me just say, you can't tell there was ever a tree there at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No mess, no stumps, no limbs, no hole in the ground... Its like they just disappeared.
OK, it gets even better.... We HAD a horrible drainage problem!!! The road would get more and more blown out every time it rained hard... the lower field would flood and get into our shed and more.. THEY FIXED IT!!!! ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!! I'm telling you they are amazing! They studied what was going on and totally fixed it. They made it look really simple. But they made huge trees disappear with no evidence and made that look simple too!! And the equipment oh man! Anyway they worked on one area and it fixed all the problems even the lower field. We have a nice water feature that is really a new way of draining the water off. I will get a better picture of that soon and put up.

Reid Excavating is so much more then excavating!!! They build houses and bridges too--I think they can do anything.. We are thankful and blessed for the hard work, trustworthyness, outstanding work ethic, a team that is safe to have our kids watch and not worry about bad words or bad behavior; careful and kind. We could go on and on. If you ever need anyone this is the team! If you know someone who has them working on a job, go watch--they are amazing!!! I didn't know the big excavators could look so graceful !! We will have them back to do more work for us in the future.. Praise the Lord for such a wonderful experience... Next I we will see how the grass comes in! Oh I almost forgot WE HAVE A TON OF FIRE WOOD NOW!!! (I will blog about this soon) Click on the link to see more pictures!!

St. Patrick's Day!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Maewyn Succat a saint because he belonged to the Lord Jesus Christ died on this day many many years ago. Today we where blessed to talk about Maewyn's message to Ireland as we made cookies (green cookies). Grandma told them the Good New's of how we need to be saved from the wrath of God because of our sin that we are all born into. and how Jesus the only begotten Son of God was born, died on the cross, and rose again! Giving those who turn away from sin and believe what Jesus has done for us, eternal life. That is the message that Maewyn brought in obedience to God, to the people of Ireland the very people who he was once enslaved by.
Today the Pancho's are blessed to have my mom close and teaching the wonderful truth of the Lord, by the obedience of Maewyn Succat, the souls that where saved through his obedience, and by the Gospel that has given us life and can give you life as well!

Reid Excavation!

We have been going back and forth about cutting the trees down in the front of the house for years. Every time the wind storms would come it would be yes lets do it... then I would not want see them go. But the trees just keep getting bigger and bigger... we had less and less sky. The beautiful deck the Peter built for us was covered in fur needles all the time. Then we thought maybe we could cut them our selves... Well we decided to call Reid Excavation. We already knew we could trust them and have heard such wonderful feed back from others about the work they do. Well, I think to say they are good would be way understated. This team does phenomenal work! They are all kind, professional, hard workers, and to see them work the equipment be it chain saws or the big digging machine, is just mind blowing. Truly they are incredible!! Our house is right next to thees huge trees. Everyone of them have fallen just as they wanted and the team takes such care in doing the least amount of damage. It is a beautiful clean work site at all times. Just amazing! We have 7 trees left. We have them cutting a total of 35. I will post again when everything is complete. I am so blessed by this company and the amazing work they do. And this is just a small part of the kind of work they do. They do construction and beautiful site work. Call em if you need help I know you will be happy!!!

Free at last.. One of my Exodus moments

For years my concern was with how things look to others around me (i.e.how my kids behaved or didn't, how I behaved or didn't, clothes, condition of my house and so on) . Sometimes respected teachers seemed to place emphasis on the appearance to the world. Praise the Lord He is freeing me from this. My concern must be with serving, obeying and loving the God who made the stars and the slugs, the giraffes and the gnats, the hippos and the heavens .. then and only then will others "the world" see God at work in my life; only then will it be real. Only then will change that shows the world one who doesn't fit in but stands out to His glory. I will choose to serve the Lord! So when I feel the pressures of fitting the mold I will remember my redeemer and that I serve a great and mighty God and in His strength alone, all things (in His will) are possible. Don't leave bondage for more bondage. Freedom is in the Lord Jesus Christ! (My husband, my house, my kids, and my self belong to the Lord.) Blessed by open eyes...

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

Surrounded by blessings.

Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, Says the Lord," Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.

I woke up to a beautiful dusting of white. Thankful because Sarah had prayed for the snow to stick. I love that not only can she see the Lord at work but that she knows that He is in control of everything, even snow. So thankful that our Lord is in control, and that because of Jesus we can be white as snow. The blessings keep coming.....

So in this blanket of snow I see evidence that not only does the Lord of all creation love us so much to give us eternity, He has given blessings here as well, He gave me a wonderful husband. I am reminded of this as I see Peter's foot step in the snow as he went to work at 4:00 am. and the beautiful deck that he build for us. Truly he loves us...

And more... Peter left us with a very warm house, a fire going, and lots of fire wood (that he chopped this summer) for us in the beautiful fire place he built. Truly Peter takes care of us.. Thank you Lord that you are in control and that you have saved us from the wrath due us because of our sin... and that you would give me such a wonderful husband and for the kids to have such a great Daddy. Pancho Blessings!

Who says you have to dress for the weather?

Judah Says "
NO PICTURES PLEASE!"

Sarah picked out Judah's "pajamas" last night for after bath time. It was snowing out side at the time... hehehe

Feb. Sunny Day!

Today we went outside to walk in the sun and it was very cold but nice to not have a wet ground. We are looking into cutting a lot of the trees that are in the pictures here down. The picture of the girls coloring together was great not only because they are coloring together but because one is left handed and one is right so they can color so close to each other. Judah was very wild tonight and claimed up into the pantry! He is acting like a two year old with his running and silliness. What a delight they are those wild kids! :-)

The Little Things..

I am blessed by the little things of each day. Yesterday Judah was so happy to play with the "ball" (balloon) from a friends birthday party and his 7th tooth has started it's way in and he can walk so fast. As Sarah said this AM " Judah doesn't really craw anymore... I guess he must be getting bigger." Also the girls have the fun moments with Papa playing "Rock Paper Scissors" they played for so long! looks like Papa has a hard time making paper.. they stopped when Leah started using a gun! and one last thing from yesterday.. Peter came home with milk and bread and that is always good. but he has taught the girls the best way to eat a chocolate bar too. What a wonderful blessing all the little things are.
