The Word Made Flesh

Dear Friends and Family, Merry Christmas! We love you and count you as a blessing. May your Christmas and New Year be full of love and awe for Jesus.
We pray that you will come to know Him in a very personal way in the coming year.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

Oh that the God and creator of all things would come to earth as a helpless baby to show His love for such undeserving souls as we are. This is when we should really say "why me!" Thank you Jesus Thank you!

Snow & Rain!

We had two days of snow about 4in each time. (melted before day was over.) It was so beautiful. The girls and Papa ate the snow flakes and had lots of fun. The snow flaks where so big!
Then the rain came. We had lots of rain. It washed out our drive way and soaked the barn and storage shed. We don't know how bad the damage is yet. But we are so thankful that we didn't lose any trees and our houses are still warm in dry. A lot of people lost there houses and we pray for them. Most of all we pray that in their hard time they will come to d know Christ and His truth or grow in relationship with Him if they already know Him. May God be glorified!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our Blog is all about Thanksgiving every day! We have really enjoyed being able to put our blessings here on the Blog and share them with you. If you have received the Blog today we thank God for you! You are counted as a blessing to us. It would be cool if I could put a mirror to the left where the girls picture is then you would be the one in the photo that we are giving thanks for.

We are so thankful for how God used the Pilgrims and their amazing faithfulness to bring us to the first Thanksgiving. We pray that we will never forget what it is we are celebrating; not a day off from work, a time to party with friends, or eat till you can't move. (We will probably do the eating part) Thanksgiving is a time just as any time should be about God! How we should be on our face before a Holy God that He would even give us life. I will never stop being awe struck by the fact that not only did He give me life He died a horrible death so that I could live forever with out pain, without worry, an eternity with Him in peace true peace that we can only know through Him. As Jesse Armstrong, missionary to Russia, reminded us so powerfully on Sunday night, in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "in everything give thanks, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."(Mr. Armstrong is fighting ALS please join us in praying for him and his family.). Good or bad God is in control and is working all things out for good. We have not put the hard times on this Blog but we do have them often. We thank God for them too. We have grown and are still growing through difficult times, we learn to trust our Lord. We are most thankful for Christ and that He would chose us!!! WOW! What changed lives Peter and I are, how beautiful is Christ in us and how ugly our own nature. I don't know about you but this lump of clay is still being worked on big time and for that I am thankful too. We pray that you and your family will be blessed this Thanksgiving as we have been by the saving grace found only in Jesus Christ!

Please feel free to look through the blog and see all that we have been thankful for.

Daddy Is Home

Sarah watching Daddy play with Leah. We are all very glad to have Daddy home!

Leah and Sarah playing with Daddy in bed. Daddy was gone for 4 days and 3 night on a Mcneil Island Prison Ministry called Kairos. We thank God for using Peter to share His truth with others. Peter has such a love for all people and wants people to know about our Saviour.
Every day we are thankful that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins against God, we have broken His commandments, and we deserve His wrath, but Jesus came and took it all away, only if we repent (turn away from sin and walk in obedience to God) and trust in Christ to be who He says He is (God Himself) and that He will save us from our selfishness (sin). Thank you God!
Thank you God for bringing Daddy home safe!
We are so grateful to our church body who gave 101 dozen cookies for Peter to take to prison with him and for the amazing amount of support and prayer. Thank you Discovery!

First Day of Children's Church

Today Sarah moved up to 4 & 5 year old Sunday School and started Children's Church. She did well and just has to learn about raising her hand before talking and little things like that. She was very engaged and willing to learn. Prays God for the wonderful people who teach the kids at church. When we asked Sarah on the way home about her day Leah said " I play wit Terzah ". She is a wonderful little girl in the toddlers room during church. What a blessing Discovery Baptist is to our family. We thank the Lord for the body we are in.
